Abstract:

With the implementation of effluent standards based on water quality criteria, more and more situations arise where the capabilities of treatment technology is stretched to their limits in order to meet these effluent standards. It is therefore important that a data base is developed in the technical literature on the capabilities of waste treatment systems and what type of effluent quality for inorganic and/or organic priority pollutants can be achieved.
