Abstract:

Following the setting up of special economic zones in 1979 and the opening of the 14 coastal port cities in 1984 in China, 14 economic and technological development zones were set up one after another in 1985 in these open port cities. The setting up of China coastal economic and technological development zones is one developing tendency for the general distribution of China opening productive forces. The purpose for setting up the 14 economic and technological development zones is to narrow the inclining gap of perferential policies in the gradient-structural regions.
