Abstract:

As part of the Coastal Ocean Program, NOAA CoastWatch is developing systems that will provide enchanced near real-time high resolution imagery from meteorological satellites; habitat change analysis from Landsat; and ocean color from low altitude aircraft to support environmental quality, fisheries oceanography and habitat change analysis applications in the coastal and estuarine environment. Plans are to further develop, and apply these data streams over the next several years to integrated coastal resource management and research.
