Abstract:

The analysis of a spherical shell may be performed by using the integral equation method. For a continuum structure, this method is computationally efficient and requires simple input data. The authors firmly believe that the integral equation method will be rediscovered by researchers and engineers of today and recognized as a method of mechanics computing in the 1990's and beyond.
