Abstract:

The concept of a graphics-based computer package for water supply network modeling and system management is discussed. Network model input and solution data are reported via color graphics display. Nodes and facilities can be selected via a graphics crosshair for interrogation of data, change of modeling parameters, and removal or insertion of facilities. The package could interface with AM/FM and database systems. A sample package is presented and applied to problem-solving on a model of a real system.
