Abstract:

In this study, the suitability of Geographical Information System (GIS) to monitor water distribution systems is investigated. Although GIS applications are widespread, the use of GIS to enhance our ability to better operate and maintain the underground pipe networks has not been fully utilized. A geographical information system is under development to investigate the extent of its use in trouble shooting of pipe networks.
