Abstract:
This paper describes the use of conjugate gradient method for finite element problems with multiple loading cases. Specifically, we introduce a modified conjugate gradient method for the solution of a system of linear equations with multiple right hand sides. The performance of the method as compared to a direct solution method and to a block conjugate gradient method on a parallel MIMD Hypercube computer is discused in this paper.
