Abstract:

The earthquake section of the Uniform Building Code has been implemented using the hypertext technology. The information was broken down into many interrelated nodes. Figures were scanned and included in the electronic document. The prototype was implemented using GUIDE hypermedia software. This article describes the prototype, implementation techniques and software tools, advantages and disadvantages of the approach used in this work.
