Abstract:

A three-dimensional conduction heat transfer program has been developed for use on microcomputer for thermal analysis of a conductive medium subject to, finite length heat sources. The code is particularly useful for thermal analyses of nuclear waste repositories. Given the thermal parameters of the medium, geometry of heat sources in a pattern, number of pattern in a layout, and decay heat source activity, the program predicts the temperature at any point in a layout, at any time after the heat sources have been emplaced.
