This presentation will discuss designing from several aspects: a. Designing of the item to lessen the affects of corrosion. b. Selection of non-corrosive materials in the designing process verses coated carbon steel. c. Designing of a coating system in conjunction with new surface preparation techniques. d. Formulations of the 90's; designing a coating that will meet all codes; environmental regulations; VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) and yet perform. e. Designing of an effective quality control program for manufacturing and application of the newer coating systems.
