Abstract:

Estuarine and Coastal Modeling is the Proceedings for the Estuarine & Coastal Circulation and Pollution Transport Model Data Comparison Specialty Conference held in Newport, Rhode Island from November 15-17, 1989. It was the first conference devoted to the rapidly evolving field of marine environmental modeling. The conference focused on the comparison of model predictions to observations of circulation and pollutant transport dynamics in estuarine and coastal systems. The papers in this publication cover a wide spectrum from model formulation and development through application to facility siting and environmental management of estuarine and coastal waters. The authors represent a well balanced mix of professionals from academic institutions, government and private industry.
