Abstract:

This communication presents an analysis of celerity propagation for non-uniform materials. Based on the corresponding flow, sediment transpot and sorting/armoring equations, the celerity expressions for both bed elevation and composition are derived. Good agreement is obtained when the obtained analytical layer evolution phase as performed by the author at the Iowa Institute of Hydraulic Research (IIHR).
