Abstract:

Monitoring of water quality in the Jubba River in Somalia of East Africa, led to indications of a potential impact of toxic trace elements, salinity and biocides in restricting agricultural development. A multipurpose dam near the Ethiopian border and irrigation systems in the alluvial plain near the Indian Ocean were the main components in the proposed development.
