Abstract:

Public/private partnerships are as useful a tool in smaller urban areas as they are in the larger cities. The arrangements are likely to be simpler and the number of actors fewer, but the outcomes are no less beneficial to the participants. This paper documents the development of the South Anchorage Transit Center and highlights the elements of the project and the joint development process that were important to its success.
