Maximizing Your Use of Interactive Graphics in Transportation Simulation Modeling

by David G. Larrabee,
Robert M. Shull,

Document Type: Proceeding Paper

Part of: Microcomputer Applications in Transportation III

Abstract:

The paper discusses the capabilities, through the aid of computer graphics, now that exist to take analysis and reporting of traffic simulation model studies several steps further than was formerly possible, at least within reasonable cost. The challenge lies in combining the notions of traffic modelling with those of psychology and human perception to better promote understanding and to better convey ideas and plans. Subjects covered include software, applications, data handling, reporting and others.
