Integrated Transit Network Analysis

by Ronald A. Shimizu, Central Transportation, United States,

Document Type: Proceeding Paper

Part of: Microcomputer Applications in Transportation III

Abstract:

As part of an update of the Boston, Massachusetts regional transit simulation process, the Central Transportation Planning Staff (CTPS) has implemented a microcomputer-based integrated network approach for transit analysis. This approach greatly simplified the development and coding of the transit network and allowed for explicit interaction between the transit and highway levels-of-service on road segments where they share the same right-of-way.
