by Ram K. Kumar, Barton-Aschman Associates, Inc, United States,

Document Type: Proceeding Paper

Part of: Microcomputer Applications in Transportation III

Abstract:

This paper describes a microcomputer based urban activity model, intended as a tool for use by planners to explore impacts of various development scenarios. The model, LUTRAM, is menu driven, where inputs could be varied interactively to enable performing 'what-if' type analyses. The outputs from the model can be presented graphically, and displayed on screen or sent to a plotter. LUTRAM consists of interacting submodels for estimating employment location, residential location, and transport flows.
