Damage Assessment Based on Repairability Criterion

by Fabian C. Hadipriono, Ohio State Univ, United States,

Document Type: Proceeding Paper

Part of: Structural Safety and Reliability

Abstract:

This paper discusses the assessment of damage of protective structures based on the repairability criterion. The variables of the repairability are the amount of repair, repair cost, repair time, and resource availability. Their values were determined based on the assessment of the experts. These values are incorporated in the production rules and contained in the knowledge bases of a Fuzzy Reasoning Expert System (FRES). The modus ponens deduction technique is employed for partially matching the user's input to the production rules.
