A basic formulation for evaluating safety index of unidirectional fiber reinforced laminate is presented. The proposed formulation is based on in-plane failure criteria of composite laminate and FORM/SORM. It enables one to evaluate the stochastic behavior of composite laminate with any lamination angle under multi-axial stress or strain condition.
