Abstract:

Monte Carlo simulations were performed on prestressed concrete rectangular and tee-section beams in shear produced by a single concentrated load at mid span. The truss analogy model was used to determine the shear capacity of the beams. The data from the simulations was used to obtain the first four statistical moments of the shear capacity.
