Abstract:

In our previous papers, by taking account of the fuzziness in the earthquake excitation, a fuzzy random model of earthquake ground motion has been established and a method of fuzzy random response analysis of aseismic structure has been presented. In this paper, the fuzziness of the damage grades is further taken into account and the fuzzy safe criterion is presented. Then, by making use of the results of fuzzy random seismic response analysis, the fuzzy random dynamical reliabilities of a SDOF hysteretic structure, and a MODF hysteretic structure subjected to earthquake are researched and their concrete formulas are derived under some proper assumptions.
