Abstract:

STS Hydropower owns and operates several hydroelectric plants distributed throughout the United States. These plants, equipped with intelligent controllers, have been remotely monitored for the past five years. The network to provide that monitoring has grown and matured into a general purpose monitoring system for both hydroelectric and general engineering parameters. This paper tracks the evolution of that network.
