Abstract:

The extended abstract compares companies that have gone public and the authors' own company which is private. Included are five publicly, or formerly publicly traded companies and the private firm STS Hydropower Ltd. The five firms are Bonneville Pacific Corporation, Catalyst Energy Corporation, Consolidated Hydro, Inc., Environmental Power Corporation, and Long Lake Energy Corporation. Reviewed were profitability, accounting procedures and footnote information.
