Abstract:

During the last few years, the tendency in most industries has been towards more automation. Hydro has been no exception. Trashrack raking machines have followed this trend, and automatic units with high safety features are now common. This paper discusses the need for trashrack cleaning machines, trashracke design safety, severe weather locations, disposal of removed trask, and other aspects of the subject.
