Abstract:
The first turbine of the La Grande hydroelectric Complex (Quebec, Canada) was commissioned in october 1979. Since then, five reservoirs, two rivers diversions, three power stations with 37 units for a total capacity of 10 280 MW and an annual production of 62 TWh was gradually put into service. The Complex was in full operation in 1984. This paper gives a brief account of the first ten years of the Complex operation.
