Abstract:

Operation of the low level outlets (LLOs) at Terzaghi Dam in southwestern British Columbia resulted in severe cavitation at operating heads significantly lower than design. Modifications were made to the outlets to extend their operating range. This paper presents key aspects of the design, construction and operation of the modified Terzaghi low level outlets.
