Abstract:

Suspended sediment concentration profiles are developed based on the conservation of mass and conservation of momentum equations of sediment laden flows. The resulting concentration profile is divided into regions relative to the regions of the velocity profiles. Differential equations for concentration profiles in these regions are given and some insight into their solution is presented.
