Abstract:

Metropolitan growth and increased concerns for water quality and environmental impacts have created challenges for the provision of water supplies within metropolitan areas. The paper identifies and compares different strategies for organizing and planning water supplies for metropolitan areas. The problem is discussed in terms of larger metropolitan developments and concerns.
