by Hsai-Yang Fang, Lehigh Univ, United States,

Document Type: Proceeding Paper

Part of: Environmental Engineering

Abstract:

This paper covers a brief discussion of enviro-geotechnical aspects of radioactive toxic radon gas. Basic information required for assessment and controlling this gas is summarized and discussed. Due to the complex interactions among these variables, a knowledge-based expert system technique is introduced to facilitate the planning, analysis, design and management processes. In better understanding the radon/environment interaction, the better to develop more efficient methods for controlling the radon gas.
