As part of its Water Resources Program, the Santa Clara Valley Water District manages the groundwater basins in Santa Clara County, California. The article describes the operations and maintenance of the District's artificial instream and offstream recharge facilities. It describes how they are operated and maintained to improve water quality and maintain high rates of recharge.
