Abstract:

In a series of two-dimensional soil-structure interaction (SSI) analyses, seismic responses, including the SSI effect of a deeply embedded reactor building of a standard plant in different sites using the same input motion, are evaluated. Site properties considered cover soft to medium stiff to very stiff sites. Through-soil structure-to-structure interaction in all sites is evaluated.
