Abstract:

A research effort within the electric utility industry has focused on unified design methods for axially loaded foundations for transmission line structures. This research has been made available to industry engineers in the form of the computer program CUFAD. This program currently includes both drilled shaft and spread foundations and considers a variety of common design constraints and options.
