Abstract:

Laboratory model test results for the bearing capacity of strip foundation supported by a sand layer with semi-flexible vertical rod reinforcements have been presented. All test results reported are for surface foundation condition. The effects of various parameters of the reinforcements have been discussed in terms of nondimensional parameters-bearing capacity ratio and settlement ratio.
