Abstract:

Glacial tills were evaluated at three Toronto sites, using conventional methods, the pressuremeter and full scale caisson load tests. The geologic environment and specific subsurface conditions at each site are provided together with the test program results. A comparison is made of the results of each evaluation procedure to assess bearing capacity and settlement.
