Abstract:

This paper discusses the use of infiltration trenches as a stormwater management practice. Feasibility, design and construction techniques are presented to improve the performance and prolong the useful lifespan of infiltration trenches. Practical site design applications are given to illustrate the type of landuse developments that are most suitable for infiltration trenches. The results of a statewide survey of infiltration practices in Maryland is also provided.
