Abstract:

Requirements are presented for an agricultural system that would supply a lunar base. This agricultural system consists of plant growth units established within pressurized modules. Each module is located below the surface of the lunar regolith. Aeroponic, hydroponic, or soil-based systems are used in modified environmental conditions. Specific design factors for each system are presented.
