Abstract:

Electron Spin Resonance (ESR) studies on lunar samples produced some unexpected results which led to recognition of the presence of abundant single-domain Fe^o in the soils. This Fe^o is present in agglutinates in the soil. The generation mechanism of native iron in lunar soil is discussed in this article.
