Part of: Planning Now for Irrigation and Drainage in the 21st Century

Abstract:

The computer spreadsheet provides the drainage engineer with a simple, efficient, and adaptable tool for modeling drainage engineering problems. Engineering applications include runoff hydrograph generation (modified rational method) and hydrograph flood routing (storage-indication method). The output, including graphics, is clear and suitable for immediate presentation. A demonstration study is presented where the computer spreadsheet was used to solve a drainge engineering problem at a small commercial site in Bradford County, Florida.
