Abstract:

Computer simulations were conducted, using a simple feedback control algorithm, to determine the potential for improvement of irrigation performance using real-time feedback control. Field data from three continuous flow furrow irrigation tests reported in the literature were used in simulations to demonstrate the potential for improved performance under a range of soil types.
