Abstract:

This paper presents the results of field sampling of two urban BMP's (Best Management Practice), namely, a wet detention pond and a level spreader/vegetative buffer strip (LS/VFS). It is shown that the LS/VFS is at least as cost-effective as a wet pond in removing pollutants in storm runoff.
