Abstract:

The Task Committee on Conflict Management (coordinated by the Social and Environmental Objectives and Impacts Committee, WRPMD), was established to develop guidelines for use by water resources planners, engineers, and educators to aid them in anticipating and dealing with conflicts, and in developing an understanding of conflict management processes by students and practicing professionals. The major objective of the Task Committee is to design and conduct an Engineering Foundation Conference for the purpose of developing workable engineering strategies and for presenting them in a useful documentary form. It is expected that this conference will be held in the Spring of 1989.
