Abstract:

The FRAMEX expert system gathers, through independent modules, knowledge analysis techniques to be used by an expert for developing a fracture problem diagnosis. The system includes three modules, i.e., logic, analytic and evaluation. The joined application of these modules allows the identification of the fracture type, the metallurgical variables conditioning it, and the fracture evolution and criticism.
