Abstract:

Lower Chase Creek Dam is a roller compacted concrete flood control dam located in a generally dry creek in eastern Arizona. Dam design, including the site investigation and start-up of the permit process, was accomplished from mid-September to mid-December 1986. Permit and bid activities took place in January and February 1987. Construction was conducted from early March to mid-June 1987. This paper describes the design and construction aspects of the dam project.
