Abstract:

A computer controlled index test has been developed that can be used to optimize blade-gate relationships on adjustable blade (Kaplan) hydraulic turbines. This paper includes hardware and programming descriptions, transducer specifications, test plan and procedures, accuracy, and repeatability.
