Document Type: Proceeding Paper

Abstract:

Modern technologies and instruments have had an influence in nearly every field imaginable. At Hydro-Quebec, the last ten years have brought about a complete transformation in the way field testing is carried out. Not only have the instruments changed greatly but also the methods of gathering and processing data, and even the way test results are analysed and reports produced. This paper presents a brief survey of Hydro-Quebec's experience in updating its field testing and measurement methods.
