Abstract:

In order to represent the development of reversible, single stage pump turbines in Yugoslavia, the three systems operated pump turbine (3SRPT) of the fourth unit of Moste hydro power plant, situated near Jesenice on the river Sava, will be briefly described. The mentioned 3SRPT was developed and realised in order to substitute the originally planned three machine pump storage set, to be built into the said plant. As a parallel aim it was intended to support development of similar machinery of larger capacities, to be designed and manufactured by national industry, for future pump storage plants being planned in the country.
