Abstract:

This paper is presented in two parts. The first, presented by B. H. Adams, gives a general overview of the Pontook Project including major physical features and the financed turnkey approach used to put the project together. The second part, presented by R. I. Munro, describes one of the key elements in that project approach: proving out performance by an independent tester. The performance tests at Pontook demonstrate the importance of having a tester who is willing to adapt to meet whatever site conditions are encountered. The results of the tests indicate that the project exceeds its performance guarantees.
