Abstract:

IMP is a microcomputer package for evaluating small-scale hydroelectric power sites in British Columbia. With IMP it should be possible for an experienced hydroelectric engineer to make a preliminary evaluation of the hydrology and energy potential of an ungauged hydro site within about one day of office studies. IMP consists of five basic components that are contained in nine independent computer programs. These components are discussed here.
