Abstract:
This manual is designed to present an outline of groundwater hydrology, the details of planning for groundwater management, and a process of selection and implementation of management plans. A brief history on groundwater development is presented. Yield concepts are reviewed to provide choices for the orderly conservation and development of groundwater resources. A discussion on the evaluation of groundwater basin yield is given. Water quality requirements and monitoring are covered along with waste disposal considerations and other factors such as salt water intrusion.
