Abstract:

Conversion of programs from a mainframe environment to a microcomputer is a new experience to many engineers. This paper discusses briefly some basic issues and then focuses on the issues of implementing large and complex engineering applications. Emphasized in the paper are the ways to reduce program size and enhance performance speed.
